Experience and Qualifications
Reaching out for counselling can sometimes feel like a big step, especially if you are used to coping on your own. As a Person-Centred Counsellor, I offer a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly without any judgment.

I am primarily a Person Centred Counsellor, whilst drawing on other counselling methods as needed, depending on your individual needs.
I believe that mental and physical health go hand in hand; we need to take care of both to maintain our general well-being.

We go to the GP if we have any physical illness, we go to a physio when we are having muscle or joint pain, but what do we do for our mental health before it deteriorates?

My counselling experience has allowed me to support individuals of various ages with: Anxiety, stress, low mood, self-esteem, self-worth issues, bereavement, neurodivergence, life transitions, attachment issues, and health anxiety. I have experience in group work, facilitating workshops in anxiety, anger management, and grief and loss. This was with Tyneside Women's Health.
I trained at Cruse Bereavement Care and volunteered as a counsellor before moving on to a paid role in counselling. I have experience working within a school environment with young people aged 5 to 11 years old. This was one of my placements with Place2Be in Play Therapy.
